    Parting out my BT3000

I picked up a mobile job site saw so I'm letting my BT3000 go. I figured I'd give the folks here a chance before I put the parts on eBay. Here are the items I have available.

-BT3000 main body with motor and switch
    -Original manuals
-BT3100 base (though not shown, the front stretcher was removed for the Herc-U-Lift but is included)
    -Wrenches
    -Front and rear silver rails
    -Standard and dado throat plates
    -Sliding miter table with fence
    -Hold-down clamp for fence
    -Shark Guard
    -Left side miter slots
    -Rip fence
    -Accessory table
    -Herc-U-Lift mobile tool base

Everything is in good working order. Obviously the parts show some age given they are 10+ (?) years old.

PM me with offers. I will add actual shipping charges or can arrange for pickup in Grayslake, IL, about 35 miles north of Chicago.

I think that's the same Shark Guard model I have. It's a seriously good upgrade if you're still using a BT3x00 saw. I can't imagine using the stock blade guard (and hate to go 'naked')

        eBay listings

Here are the eBay listings: http://www.ebay.com/sch/kshoemaker/m.html

These are marked up to cover the eBay fees, but I'd take 15% less without hesitation through this forum. I'll still entertain offers as well.

Any guesses on what the cost would be to ship the shark guard to Canada?

I know it's an old post, but if you still have the fence, I'm interested. Thanks!

                Probably long gone, BUT...

The manuals are available as a free download.

The wrenches are available from Searsparts

The miter slots are not all that useful, if you want real miter slots you are likely to be disappointed.

LCHIEN has a FAQ, check the tagline in one of his posts and ask him for it. A lot of good info and after reading it you will better understand the limitations of the miter slot.

I actually have miter slots on both sides of the blade, and find them useful. For starters it's where I attach my featherboards. But they get occasional use for jigs and sometimes even a standard miter crosscut gauge if I feel it will work better than the SMT for a particular cut.

The main reason I put them on both sides was so I had a miter slot for the router table, and because it helped make the table more solid with less gaps.

Thank you for the info. I'm trying to decide if its worth trying to get the things I want for this or to just sell the saw and get something different. I bought this from a friend who hadn't used it in 10 years and didn't know much about this saw. I have the basic BT3000, anyone in Chicago North west suburbs interested in buying it?

woodfan What parts are you looking for? I have bought a couple saws in the Denver CO area for parts myself.
