    Gun Vise

Got tired of cleaning/working with rifle resting on my knee, so I decided to build some type of rifle holder. Saw something like this on YouTube. and I likd it. The compartments can be used to hold parts and cleaning supplies (solvents, patches, brushes, etc). I used foam, pipe insulation to support stock and forearm and not scratch them. But what I'm pleased about the most, is that I didn't have to buy anything- all wood, MDF, screws, washers and nuts, came fom materials already on hand, a first for me

Great functional design, I like that it grips around the stock & butt - looks like it will work for most any rifle or shotgun.

I know it's not pretty, but it works well! Just used it to mount a scope and didn't lose any tiny screws

                Cool!

If I may, I would suggest make the stand up parts be the lid. That way you can close it for storage when not in use. I'm sure you can figure out the details.
