I finally finished this with 7 weeks to spare until our new guy is born. If only I could have made the walls flat and plumb and could measure with a tape measure...

Thanks! This is my first big project that I have done. I have done toys, tables and bookshelves but nothing like this. I was really happy with the way it turned out and I love the way the wood looked with sealcoat and water-based polyurethane.Comment

That does look pretty good. Lots of chest space and double rods will come in handy.
If you can figure out how to get the kids to actually use it instead of the preferred piles on the floor I'd love to hear it.ErikComment

Also, just curious what the space between the two drawer units is for?Comment

Thanks everyone. I know it's pretty simple but that was what I was looking for. I drew a couple of plans up in Illustrator for my wife and she chose this one.
I have sliding doors instead of bifold. The space is there because the drawers couldn't be made any bigger and still be able to open up all of the way. I figured we could shove toys or he can hide things like himself in there!
As far as getting him to pick up his clothes... you are on your own on that one!Comment
