    Kid's Play Table

My parents had bought the kids a small table (2x2) Christmas before last and they have outgrown it. I recycled the legs of that table because the height was ok, just made the table longer and slightly wider (26"x5'). I used the Arauco "cabinet grade" lol :-) pine plywood, which was surprisingly nice! For $26 a sheet it was a steal vs. the $44 for any of the hardwood ply at BORG. Plus it saved me the time from having to edge band. I was able to simply route the roundover right into the plywood. The finish is General Finish amber stain, which was blotchy as all he$$ even though I gave it a good sanding and a seal coat... Top coat was GF satin water poly.

Looks just about perfect for a child's play table. Where did you find the plywood?
I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

Larryl - The plywood is currently being carried at a local Home Depot.

As you can tell the finish has already been christened with play dough :-)

Well done! I also liked recycling the legs! They look right at home!!!
