Yes, that is really cool. Is that all paintwork or decals? The detail on the wheels make them really read well.

The headlights, mouth and lettering are decals made from internet pictures and clear Avery printer labels You do have to paint every thing behind the labels white to get them to work as the printer doesn't do white.

I drew the plan based on a photo of a toy car.

          Pretty COOL, indeed!

Those little guys must know that their pretty lucky to have such a great Grandpa!

Nice work and the paint and decal finishing is definitely special. How big are those Avery labels that you used... I'm imagining that you had to do some special work get them to blend together so well... from the photos it doesn't look pieced-together at all.

Nice work and thanks for the post with pictures,

I'm intrested in the avery labels too. Are they the big 8 1/2x11 sheets? We used to call them stickybacks use them on our hand drawn drawings on repetitive details.

A nice job...well done. Very clever use of details and plans. Just make sure he doesn't "drive in his sleep".

                    Nice!
I foresee having to make such things in my not too distant future so it's nice to see how it was done.

                      I used the 8.5 x 11 labels

I drew the plans in acad but if someone wants them i could put them out in a PDF as well as the decal masters.

i was asked to build one for someone but i told them i couldn't because of the copyrighted pictures etc. That is correct isn't it that you can make your own but not sell them or even sell the plan to make it????

                            Nice work.

With regards to the labels, that was not the easiest way to obtain a white background.

Long after the beds are gone they will remember that 'pap' built them a racecar bed and how much fun they had in it. Great job!
                              Blessings,
