    Plastic Bin Storage

I got some 3/8" Baltic Birch, and was REAL tired of my plastic bins falling all over my bench, so with my bestest Kirby inspiration, this is what I came up with. 4 seperate cases that'll each hold 12 bins, this should be a good start.

and besides, I needed to finish something else to keep Conder trying to keep up

Hey Grasshopper. Whatcha trying to do: catch everybody off-guard by finishing something-huh? What happened to your hard-earned reputation that you worked on so diligently for so long?

Let's cut the mess. Get back to your old self, so I won't feel so bad. After all, I am not setting the woods on fire with my finished project output lately.

So, how about it. Go back to the old Thom we all knew. Whaddaya think?

BTW: Great lookin boxes. I always knew you could do it. And Baltic Birch--WOW...

Good idea Thom. I was thinking about doing something similar, but with plastic doors to keep the dust out. I have little plastic bins hanging everywhere in the shop. []

I saw some nice looking bins recently in a Titebond insert in Woodworker's Journal.

These don't have the advantage of Thom's in being able to carry the entire bin in question over to where you're working. And both designs trade a lot of space for the ability to get to things quickly. I'm now storing my nails in their original boxes, packed together in a larger box that takes up about half the space of one of Thom's cases. When I need a nail, I have to unpack and repack the box, trading my time for space.

Same here. That and coffee cans. Momma's out of town for a few weeks so maybe I can get the office and work rooms rearranged and some new cabinets built.

Oh man, I need one of these. Right now all my boxes of screws and nails reside on the top of the upright freezer we have in the garage/shop. Great idea, good work. [^]
