    First furniture effort: side-table

Hooray, I finally get to post a finished project! This is a side-table for my son's room.

Red oak with 3 coats of BLO and then wipe-on poly. This was a major learning process: first furniture, first time doing M&T's, drawer, etc.

Thanks for all your advice that made this possible.

Karen is right, that grain is an eye-popper. You did and excellent job with the finish. That's a project that will see a lot of use for a lot of years.

Very nice, especially considering it was your first project!

Hey, thanks for all the kind words. Makes me kinda glad the poor pic quality doesn't show the mistakes. I was very pleased with the grain on the tabletop; I love the way it turned out. Thanks for your encouragment -- and all the advice that made it possible.
