    Recent Projects

These are some of my recent projects. I sub-contracted the building of my house. My wife and I did all the trim, fireplace, and cabinets. The cabinets were done with pocket holes in plywood and solid red oak. The people that make cabinets for a living put too many nails on their cabinets, and I understand them they are trying to get in complete the job and go to the next job. That was one of the reasons we decided to make our own cabinets, because we didn't want all the putty holes. The other reasons were the price and the satisfaction of building them.

Beautiful work! Did you have plans for the cabinets? I'm just getting ready to attempt a vanity and can't find any plans.

Man, those look fabulous! You and your wife did some spectacular craftsmanship with those cabinets. You DEFINITELY made the right choice to do them yourself!

Thanks for sharing, you have a beautiful house.

No, That was the hard part. When I got the plans for the house from the internet the plans did not have any cabinet plans. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what my next design was going to look like. It also took a lot of trips to HD and Lowes. Then I implemented the things that my wife wanted in to our cabinets.

Very nice work. I like the double sink with the drawers dividing the front of the cabinet.

            Great work!

I wish I had a kitchen that size.

I will agree that the end result of building your own cabinets is very satisfying. I just wish that it took less time.

              Great job!

Seeing it's getting violated so often, I'm thinking we need a forum sticky about Tundra_Man's rules for newbie project postings.

Which is just one of the reasons why it's not a good idea to judge another forum member by their post count.

Great job on the kitchen BTW!

Awesome work. The counter top you chose really compliments the cabinetry.

Truly great looking work. It always amazes me that an individual can make something that beautiful. What a talent.
