    New to the site

Howdy y'all. New to this site. Nosing around for BT3000 ideas, found SDZ. I have a '95ish Ryobi with a lot of miles. Just put a dial indicator on miter and fence - got it dialed into less than a thousandths of an inch over the face of a blade. My first on-line purchase had to be 15+ years ago - a guy offering a kit and instructions for shim replacement. There's a lot the BT3k isn't, but this little bugger has been accurate and reliable since the day I fixed it. So, tip o' the cap to "the guy" who sold me the kit.

Currently buzzing through a decent supply of locally procured redwood - part heart - part sap - really fun stuff to work with. Planing up 2x3s, 2x4s and 2x6s for winter projects.

    Looks like a fun site/
