    guide holder stuck

Hello everyone. I just bought a bt3000. I've been taking it apart to check and repair anything I find along the way. The shims need to be replaced as well as the belts but I can't get the guide holder off.

I tried a soft mallet on the shaft. I tried a light bulb to heat it up. I tried pb blaster thinking it was seized. I can grab the two bolt rive knife holder and move it up and down about 1/2 an inch. This is of course after I removed the four screws. The two other screws were not there and the circular thing behind it with screw holes rotates freely.

    This is bad. Any ideas?

I freed it. Leverage on the opposite side finally dislodged it.

Good to hear. I got busy at work while contemplating what advice to give. Welcome to BT3Central.
