    Alternitive router

Are there any fixed base routers that fit the bt3000 other than Ryobi?

Contact Loring (LCHIEN) with your email address and ask him for his BT3K FAQ. I believe there is info in there on making a router mount plate for the BT3x00 saws. Simply put, build your plate, and drill it to fit whatever router you want...

Any Craftsman fixed base router should fit Ryobi accesory table.

Well, yes, the screw holes line up on the Craftsmen, but on the older ones the handles get in the way and you'll need to grind out the ribs that are underneath. My Craftsman router (circa 1977) is that way.

I think router like this will fit nicely into BT3 accessory table:

It has variable speed and 1/2" collet - important features for table router. It is 2hp - sufficient for 90% of table routing needs. Accessory table on BT3 has a bit opening of 2.5" diameter, which means in this table you cannot use very large bits, like large horizontal panel rasers. In other words for this table 2hp router is a very good fit, larger router you would not be able to use in this place anyway.

I mounted a Triton 2.25HP router on my BT3000 quite some time ago,
            worked out fine:
Here are some pictures I took at that time:
