    SMT While Ripping?

Am I missing something? Is there a way to lock the smt in place so it doesn't slide while ripping a board? Should I just swap the SMT table with the acc. table?

Yes, there is a tab you can press down on. It's on the front left portion of the table. This will lock it in place.

The tab is part number 13 on this diagram, it locks into either of the slots shown by the red arrow.

Thanks to all. I'll have to take a look tomorrow to see what I missed--despite looking at it hundreds of times.

On a related note, why are there two slots for that SMT lock?
            Never met a bargain I didn't like.

When the SMT is set on the rails in the normal position, the second slot lets the front edge of the SMT align up with the main table front.

IF you flip the SMT into the reverse position so that the base/track is sticking out in the rear, then the first slot allows the SMT to align up in this position with the front of the main table front.

                That's it!
as stated by another poster the two holes are for lining up with the SMT in the normal and reversed positions.

I've never had any problem with mine slipping, it's a very reliable, simple mechanism.
