    Fence issues

My fence is not locking on the back rail as it should. It clamps down tightly on the front rail. I did take out the rod in the fence and I thought I had inserted it correctly but still the same issue. I have played with the screw on the back of the fense that you can adjust on the outside of the fence and still do not get a tight clamp down effect on the rear. Any help would be appreciated. Is there any aftermarket fence that works on the 3100 that I should consider? Many seem very high in price and am not sure if any of them fit anyway. Thanks for the help, Jake

Have a look at this thread, Jake. I put a diagram in (4th. post down) that may help. Once correctly set up, the BT3 fence takes some beating, for both accuracy and solidity.

Since you mentioned the bar... did you also make sure to seat the spring inside correctly?
      Never met a bargain I didn't like.
