    Deep fried turkey recipe?

    It's been a few years since I deep fried a turkey. It was only my first time then. Anyway, what recipes do you like? I think I did some kind of butter based injection but don't remember now. It was the best turkey I ever ate. Please share yours. I'm looking for inspiration. I might convince the wife that I should do 2.

    Followup question. We do our big family Thanksgivings on Fridays--works best for everyone's schedule. Is it possible to fry it on Thursday and heat it up on Friday? The Thanksgiving location is 4hrs away so I've got to cook it on Thursday and bring it Friday.

      My family likes smoked turkey. I would prefer another way since I have to cook it if it is smoked. I learned two years ago how to control the heat precisely on my smoker and meats are consistently tender now!

          I am in camp fried turkey. I've tried a smoked turkey and I just prefer the taste of the fried one.
