    Looks like it is too late to do anything about the warped board now. . The end stick would probably slide off. It goes well with the ugly chairs though!

      How old is it? Those are ugly chairs. Glad they are not Swedish.

        As discussed in Radhak's current post, "Combining different types of wood for table top" this is a perfect example of what can happen to tables constructed of very large boards. There is no amount of planing and using winding boards that would save this table. I'd guess that all the other tables in the restaurant were built like this and as they warped they cut them into smaller planks and the waiter made ugly chairs out of them. From the amount of chairs this must be the last table!
